The Preschool Unit

Preschool unit As our toddlers progress to pre-school level, their routine becomes more structured in preparation for school life. Their day covers all seven areas of learning as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This covers the Prime & Specific areas :

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development 
• Communication and Language
• Physical Development 
• Literacy
• Maths
• Understanding of the world
• Expressive Arts and Design

These skills are enhanced through a variety of activities in open plan areas encouraging child initiated play but also an amount of adult led activities.

Our preschool unit is staffed on a ratio of 1 - 8.

Our pre-school children also have the opportunity to join in with Forest School !!
Forest School is where our children embrace the outdoors, in a woodland setting,as a learning environment.

We visit Cantlop Woods in Condover as our setting to teach the children personal, social & technical skills. The sessions are led by a qualified Forest School Practitioner alongside our own experienced nursery nurses.
